We reviewed numbers 1-100, and added on 100-a million! (p. 168). We practiced question formation, students wrote questions (to a celebrity!). Students worked on their interviews (with famous people).

We practiced weather expressions, and added seasons, p. 160-1. Students used the past tense, the PASSÉ COMPOSÉ to describe what they did on our "activity day" (juggling, drawing, playing different sports, etc.).   exemples:

Tu as joué au Scrabble? Oui, j'ai joué au Scrabble.
Tu as jonglé? Non, je n'ai pas jonglé.

We practiced FAIRE (to do and to make) with idiomatic expressions. Students played Charades with FAIRE expressions, they did activities 1,2,3 p. 154 and ESSAYEZ p. 155 using these expressions.
 We answered the questions from Pauvre Anne ch. 3,  and the students read ch. 3 of Pauvre Anne out loud, in small groups.

We listened to a rap by Manau, `La Tribu de Dana', a rap group from Brittany (Bretagne).  We discussed different hobbies (les passe-temps, les loisirs) and students wrote what they liked and disliked. They played Pictionary with the vocab. 5A, pp. 146-7.

We took a "field trip" to Normandy today. Students looked at artifacts: postcards, brochures, pictures and paintings from the region. They stopped by the cafe for some authentic Normand food.
